SIITR26 Pitchfest

SIITR26 Pitchfest

Pitchfest has been a well attended and exciting component of SIITR since our first event in Coffs Harbour. The SIITR26 Pitchfest has taken on a slightly different shape incorporating our new National Regional Challenges.

How to enter
To enter SIITR26 Pitchfest your work will need to align with one of the identified National Regional Challenges. Rather than entering via this page, simply follow the Challenge page and enter a case study. You’ll be automatically entered to the SIITR26 Pitchfest entry pool. Hurry! Entries close 23 July 2026.

You can enter as many times as you like so long as your entries align with one of the six identified challenges:

  • Liveability: How does your region solve its own housing problem?
  • Sustainability: How does your region keep tourists coming even when the water runs low?
  • Cultural Practices: How does your region have a conversation that includes everyone?
  • Community Contribution: How does your community keep its volunteer heart strong
  • Local Economy: How does your region keep its money working locally?
  • Intergenerational Connection: How do your region’s generations learn from each other to build something stronger?

What’s different in 2026?

Rather than being driven by social enterprise, this year’s Pitchfest aligns with our new National Regional Challenges. Why? Because we aim to develop an annual change engine which looks not only at what regional changemakers are doing to create change in specific areas, but how they are doing it – and how this may apply to other change projects.

How will it work?

Visit our National Regional Challenges website for all information Ready Communities – National Regional Challenges – A place to prosper

In short. (a) submit a case study before 23 July (b) participate in the semi-finals (c) One participant from each challenge will be invited to attend SIITR26 and pitch.
