SIITR25 Program Update

We know ! You’re excited to learn more about this year’s key themes and content. Let’s take a step back and look at the ‘scaffolding’ that supports the creation of a Social Impact in the Regions program.

  • First, our program is developed around a set of daily themes. In 2023 and 2024 these were rather pragmatic essentially exploring opportunities and challenges faced by regional social impact practitioners. In 2025 we’ve gone a bit rogue and our days will be structured around a slightly different narrative taking us back to 90s grunge – Day 1: Come as you are Day 2: As you were Day 3: (a diversion from the song) as you want your community to be.
  • Second, we determine our streams. While these streams are largely influenced by the host community and also what we determine as pressing in regional social impact at the time – we can guarantee you that youth futures and housing will always be on this list.
  • Third, we assess the content opportunities we have at hand including our speaker applications (yes, the application is very free form – that’s because we want people to deliver according to their preferences, rather than a prescribed formula); further ideas from our advisory team; input from the host community and finally; input from our co-design workshop in April.
  • Finally, we mix it all together and pull together a program which is framed by the themes of the three days, includes the content we know regional practitioners need (such as social impact measurement, fundraising opportunities, networking etc) and also a range of things to inspire, delight, embed and challenge.

Important dates:

  • 29 March: Formal announcement of daily themes
  • 17 April: SIITR25 Program co-design
  • 30 April: Speaker applications close
  • 5 May: Program LIVE
