The 2025 Social Impact in the Regions (SIITR) host community is…
GRAFTON, NSW
This week, Ready Communities co-founders Kerry Grace and Dr. Chad Renando, made a significant visit to Grafton to announce the partnership with Clarence Valley Council.
They met with key members of the Clarence Valley Council, including General Manager Laura Black (in featured picture). This meeting marks an important step in fostering local government engagement, which Kerry Grace emphasises as crucial for the success of SIITR in host communities.
Kerry shared;
“Our past experiences have demonstrated that local government engagement is critical to the success of SIITR in the host community, particularly in terms of the legacy the conference leaves locally. Clarence Council has been very embracing of SIITR, and already we can see it’s going to be a great place to run our national event.”
SIITR is known for hosting events in communities that may not typically have the capacity to manage large-scale events. Kerry’s approach to selecting venues is both fun and innovative, ensuring a memorable experience for attendees while offering the host community a chance to explore new possibilities.
The conference is complemented by the Ready Communities program, co-founded by Kerry and Dr. Chad Renando. This program, piloted in the Macleay in 2024 under the banner of Ready Macleay, aims to work with community members to foster:
- Clarity and understanding
- Connection and connectivity
- Collaboration for purpose
- Capability and capacity
- Advocacy and promotion
The host community will have numerous opportunities to engage with both SIITR and Ready Communities. Stay tuned for more details or reach out to the Ready Communities team through Kerry or Chad for more information.
Social Impact in the Regions will be held in Grafton between 3-5 September 2025 and the Ready Communities lead-in program will commence in March 2025.
