Key notes
Each morning starts with a range of key note speakers and an interactive panel. The themes covered are:
Day 1: Investing in regional impact: Featuring Philip Gaskin (US) and Liz Ritchie, CEO (Regional Australia Institute)
Day 2: Amplifying regional voices: Featuring Fiona Nash, Commissioner for Regional Education and Phil Haines, Voices for Indi
Day 3: Understanding regional challenges: Featuring Natalie Egleton, CEO (Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal) Mary-Ann Scully (ACRE) and Kylie Flament (SECNA)
Masterclasses
Day 1 features a choice of four masterclasses.
The masterclasses run for 3.5hrs each and provide an in-depth overview of the topic, and lots of opportunities for Q&A with the facilitators. The topics are:
- Community wealth building
- Funding social impact
- Place-based program design
- Empowering regional changemakers
Workshops
Your choice of 6 workshops delivered across two sessions (12 workshops in total).
Follow your own learning needs as you choose from a range of technical skills, self-reflection opportunities and regional case studies.
Social events
- Welcome celebration: on the first evening featuring local produce and a cheeky glass of wine
- Pitchfest: our popular pitchfest is back in 2024. Watch your colleagues pitch to an expert panel and go in the running for a prize pool
- Conference dinner: More announcements are coming very soon. Our dinner is going to be a fabulous spring combination of festoon lights, carnival atmosphere, live entertainment and a lot of fun
- Each day includes lunch. The first two days you will choose to dine at a local café as part of your ticket fee, on the third day you’ll have a picnic by the beautiful Macleay river
