We are delighted to announce that SIITR26 will be held in Stanthorpe, QLD.
Each year we find new ways for our SIITR delegates to get involved and in 2026 we will be delighted to have even more opportunities for you to link and learn alongside the host community.
In the meantime, here’s a heads up on opportunities to look out for and plonk in your diary so you don’t miss out.
Tickets:
- Early, early bird tickets are now on sale and will close when the allocation runs out or otherwise 20 January
- Early bird tickets then come online on 1 March and will close on 30 April (again unless the allocation runs out)
- If you’re feeling in a pay-it-forward kind of mood all full priced tickets are accompanied by a local ticket. Yes – you’ll be shouting a Stanthorpe changemaker a ticket to attend the whole event along with your own ticket. (this is an excellent way to say thanks to the host community).
Bursary applications
- We have been delighted to grow our bursary program each year and in 2026 anticipate it will again play a large role in ensuring small NGOs can attend. Applications for our bursary program will open on 1 February and will close on 18 April.
National SIITR Advisory team applications
- Our National Advisory Team have played an incredibly important role in shaping SIITR from the ground up. The team plays a role in shaping both the program, and also how the conference sits strategically as a platform for driving change in regional communities. In 2026 we will refresh our Advisory Team. Applications will open on 20 January.
Program co-design
- There are many contributing factors to the program design and one important input each year is input from our alumni. We will have program co-design sessions in February, April and June. This is an alumni only activity and if you are among the (close to) 600 people who have participated in SIITR through the years you can expect to see an invitation in your alumni updates.
SIITR26 National Pitchfest
- Our treasured Pitchfest is on again in 2026. This year with a slight twist – we will have an audience favourite as well. SIITR Alumni will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite pitch-ee via their online applications. SIITR26 Pitchfest will open for applications on 30 March and will close on 30 April. FIVE finalists (all receive a ticket to SIITR26) will be notified by 15 May.

Speakers, workshops, panels
- Each year SIITR hosts just over 50 speakers across plenary sessions, workshops, masterclasses, impact labs and as living books. Our application is broad as it assists us to develop our program. It balances our ability to incorporate both the right people, and the right content. You can submit as many applications as you like, in February 2026 we will include some specific focus areas and commence looking for speakers in these areas as well. Unlike many conferences, SIITR offers free and subsidised tickets (depending on the speaking segment, valued up to $1,650). We do not pay speaker fees. Applications to be a speaker at SIITR26 are now open and close on 30 April 2026. Apply here.
