Project Skip team
Project SKIP is a regional NSW-based not-for-profit helping build stronger, more resilient young people by developing the trusted adults who influence them every day. Developed by Kayla Bogatek, Clare Lawley and Dr Ali Dale, Project SKIP began in the dance community, recognising the unique role dance teachers play as long-term mentors and role models in young people’s lives. Today, Project SKIP equips dance teachers and educators with practical, evidence-informed tools to intentionally build resilience, confidence, connection and life skills through the relationships and environments that already surround young people.
The model is intentionally intergenerational: strengthening adults so they can model and pass these skills to the next generation, who in turn become the future leaders, teachers, coaches and mentors of their communities.
Project SKIP now works across regional dance studios, schools and dance competitions, reaching thousands of young people across Australia.
Founder Kayla Bogatek and Director Clare Lawley are representing Project SKIP at Social Impact in the Regions 2026.
Kayla and Clare will participate in the SIITR26 National Pitchfest
